Abilene Reporter-News Thursday, July 21, 1988 For Obituaries A.C. Gallagher A.C. Gallagher, 86, of Abilene, died Wednesday at his home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at North's Funeral Home Chapel, 242 Orange.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Timothy Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Born in Coldville, he finished school in Shawnee, Okla.

and lived Breckenridge from 1934 to 1956. He moved to Dallas 1956 and to Abilene in 1978. in He was the parts manager for Daniel Motor Co. in Breckenridge and worked for Ed Maher Motor Co. in Dallas until 1976.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and was the widower of Margaret Trammel Gallagher. Survivors include four sons, Gallagher Jr. of Breckenridge, C.D. Gallagher of Victoria, R.A. Gallagher of Amarillo and J.L.

Gallagher of Gatesville; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces. Leo Henry Leo Henry Palm Springs, and seven grandchildren. Irene King CLEBURNE Irene King, 84, died Wednesday in Arlington. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St.

Mark United Methodist Church with Dr. Lewis Shambeck officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home. Born in Houston, she moved to Cleburne years ago.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charlie King. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Russell of Arlington; two sons, Billy E. Lindsey of Arlington and Rev.

Robert V. Lindsey of Cleburne; 10 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. Memorials may be made to the St. Mark United Methodist Church Building Fund. PALM SPRINGS, Calif.

Leo Henry, 57, former Abilene resident, died Friday at a local hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, directed by CurtisStarks Funeral Home, 542 EN Seventh.

Born in Oakwood, he attended school in Colorado City, lived in Abilene and moved to Palm Springs 13 years ago. He was involved in an automobile cleaning service and automobile detail work in Abilene and California. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Henry of Palm Springs, both of Palm two sons, Kenneth Henry and Randy, Henry, Springs; two brothers, Earl Henry and Joe Lewis Henry, both of Abilene; a sister, Betty Freeney of Raleigh V. Lay SAN ANGELO Raleigh V.

Lay, 89, former Ballinger resident, died Tuesday at a local hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger with Ferris Akins officiating. Burial will be in the Old Runnels Cemetery. Born in Lockhart, he lived in Ballinger and later moved to San Angelo.

He was a construction worker and a Baptist. Survivors include three sisters, Dora Thompson, Aileen Rogers and Eula Mae Lord, all of Austin; and two sisters-in-law, Estelle Hampton and Sammie Ingle, both of Ballinger. Rubye K. Smith BIG SPRING Services for Rubye K. Smith, 88, will be at 10 a.m.

Saturday at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville with the Rev. Eric McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the West End Cemetery in Erath County. The body will be at Nalley-Pickle Welch Funeral Home until 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

She died Monday at a local nursing home. Born in Gregg County, she lived in Stephenville for more than 40 years and moved to Big Spring in 1983. She graduated from Howard Payne University with a bachelor's and received her master's degree at Southern Methodist University. A teacher, she taught in Stephenville for 25 years and was a Methodist. She was: a member of the Campus Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, American Association of University Women and the 20th Century Club.

She was the widow of J. Burns Smith Sr. Survivors include a son, J. Burns Smith of New Orleans; a daughter, Rubye Jo Kohlman of Big Spring; two sisters, Daisy Burkleo and Dollie Owens, both of Dallas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Randy Carl Perrin BRECKENRIDGE Randy Carl Perrin, 37, died Monday in Breckenridge.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Charles Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends in the parlor of the First Christian Church after the service. Local arrangements were made by Morehart Mortuary.

He was a supply sergeant for the Texas National Guard and a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tyler. He was an education officer for Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa. Survivors include his wife, Verna King Perrin of Breckenridge; two sons, William Perrin and Wes Perrin, both of Breckenridge; his parents, Carland and Francis Perrin of Iowa Park and James and Gloria Latham of Odessa; two brothers, Roger Perrin, of Odessa and Ron Perrin of Thornton, brother, James Latham Jr. of Odessa; a half sister, Jamie Bredemeyer of Odessa; five stepsisters; and a stepbrother. McClean officiating. Burial will be in Crane County Cemetery, directed by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors of Odessa. Born in Perry, she was a longtime resident of Crane. She was in sales at Preslar's Food Center, Preslar's Fachion Lane Odessa, for 20 years and Jena's Dress also in Odessa, before retiring in 1978.

She was a the member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie W. Preslar of Crane; a daughter, Patsy Young of Odessa; a sister, Gladys Raulston of Alabama; and two grandsons. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. George W.

Baker RISING STAR George W. Baker, 77, died July 16 at a local nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in Rising Star Cemetery. Born in Texas, he moved to Rising Star 15 years a ago. He was a retired oil field worker and a Baptist. Survivors include three brothers, Earl Baker of Missouri, Jim Baker of Washington and Woodrow Baker of Arizona; three sisters, Lenora Miner of Arizona, Rose Neilson of California and Annabelle Goates of Texas. Charles Loyd Godfrey BIG SPRING Charles Loyd Godfrey, 24, died Monday in Houston.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Myers Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lee Rogers and Ralph Caffey officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park. Born Lubbock, he moved to Spring in 1970.

He was a cement truck driver for Halliburton. He graduated from Forsan High School in 1981 and attended Howard College. Survivors include his wife, Shannon Godfrey of Big Spring; his parents, Charles and Barbara Godfrey of Big Spring; two brothers, Ricky Godfrey of Big Spring and Johnny Godfrey of Houston; a sister, Kimberly Godfrey of Big Spring; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Moore of Belhaven, N.C.; his maternal grandmother, Obera Hamlin of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews. Hollis Paul Ford BIG SPRING Hollis Paul Ford, 80, died Wednesday at a local hospital. Services are pending with Myers Smith Funeral Home.

Adonis Kimmell DE LEON Adonis Kimmell, 64, died Wednesday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Victor Cemetery. A lifetime resident of Comanche County, he was a retired farmer rancher.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jewell Kimmell of De Leon; a son, Harrell Don Kimmell of Granbury; a daughter, LaRessie Wilkerson of De Leon; a brother, Ardean Kimmell of De Leon; three sisters, Anita Thompson of Palo Alto, Adina Cooke of McKinney and Aline Garrett of Gorman; and seven grandchildren. Born in Comanche County, he lived in Scurry County most of his life. A retired farmer, he was a longtime member of Union Methodist Church but later became a member of First United Methodist Church, which he attended many years. Survivors include his wife, Allena Lewis of Snyder; a daughter, Doris Blackard of Snyder; a son, Don Lewis of Dallas; a brother, at Holly Lewis of La Feria; three grandchildren; and Lona Beatrice Hair DUBLIN Lona Beatrice Hair, 89, died Tuesday at a local nursing home.
